Skills to Advance

Skills to Advance is a national initiative that provides upskilling and reskilling opportunities to employees in jobs undergoing change and to those currently employed in vulnerable sectors. The programme aims to equip employees with the skills they need to progress in their current role or to adapt to the changing job market.

Designed for employees, Skills to Advance offers a wide range of upskilling and reskilling opportunities through out day and evening courses. Courses will vary according to local needs and all courses run subject to minimum enrolment and applicants meeting the relevant eligibility criteria.

Am I eligible?

Skills to Advance has opportunities for everyone to upskill or reskill, particularly if you are:

  • Currently working in a lower-skilled job

  • Aged 50+

  • Currently working in a job that is experiencing significant change

What will it cost me?

Skills to Advance courses are highly subsidised depending on your skill level. Contact us to find out what you’re eligible for.

What courses are available?

We offer a range of business, computer and healthcare modules as part of our skills to advance programme. Flexible course, which can facilitate one or modules at a time.
